Day 5: Declare your love for an uncool movie.
Holy crap do I have a long list of uncool movies that I absolutely love. But I’m not sure you’re ready to see that side of me just yet. Let’s start with one of my all time favorite movies to watch that most people are like “What? I’ve never even heard of that movie.”
Empire Records, released in 1995
One of the greatest songs and scenes in a movie ever.
Because I said so. SHUT UP.
Who ARE these people who have never heard of Empire Records and why do you even know them?!? D: That's one of my favourites. Had it on VHS; replaced it with the DVD; still listen to the soundtrack (on CD, natch, cuz I'm THAT uncool). LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW. I can't believe how many people have never seen (or heard of) this movie. It's only awesome. I too had it on VHS, then DVD, and have the CD too. Good to know I'm not the only one!!
ReplyDeleteSHUT THE FRONT DOOR. A. This is NOT an uncool movie because I know it word for word and own the soundtrack and everyone I've ever come in contact with thinks I'm cool, I'm sure of it. B. Anyone who hasn't heard of this movie is probably way too busy watching Titanic and The Notebook to find this little gem, and I feel sorry for them.
ReplyDeleteJulie, I think I love you more now. You are too funny. I absolutely love this movie, and I am always shocked when people either don't know it, or don't get it. Plus seriously? Ethan Embry? I just want to snuggle with him he's so damn cute.
ReplyDeletenot an uncool movie.
ReplyDeletewhen Anthony LaPaglia closes the office door and drums to If You Want Blood, You Got It by AC/DC...totally cool
plus Renee Zelweger acts like a hoe bag
